We are Uganda’s leading Commercial Microfinance Bank serving 3 million customers, with an asset base of UGX 6.3 trillion. Financial inclusion is key for us and we are reaching out through 81 branches, 207 ATMs, over 7,400 Agents, and several other digital channels including CenteMobile banking, CenteOnline banking, CenteVisa debit & prepaid cards, and Mastercard Platinum debit card.
Our History
Like every little child, and adult, we were born and born to exceptional and visionary founders. Our history dates back to 1983 when we started as a credit trust of the Uganda National Lay Apostolate. Our operations started in 1985 with two reasons; serving the rural poor and making a meaningful contribution to the socio-economic development of Uganda. In 1993, we transitioned to Centenary Rural Development Bank Limited and were licensed as a full-service commercial bank.
