Celebrating Mass with the Archbishop of Mbarara Archdiocese

Today, we were deeply honoured to welcome His Grace Lambert Bainomugisha, Archbishop of Mbarara, to Centenary Bank. During the morning Mass, the Archbishop expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to celebrate with us and for our generous contribution to the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cathedral Nyamitanga. He highlighted the sacred nature of our mission, noting how our Bank’s work is transforming lives by empowering farmers, entrepreneurs, and communities while fostering economic growth and social well-being.
The Archbishop also commended our ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility efforts in education, healthcare, infrastructure, and social support investments. He reminded us that every action within the Bank reflects gospel values and urged us to treat our work as a sacred trust, honouring human dignity in everything we do.
In turn, Mr Joseph Balikuddembe, our Executive Director, shared the joy of hosting the Archbishop and expressed gratitude for the spiritual nourishment and collaboration with the Mbarara Archdiocese.
He also reaffirmed our commitment to the community and faith by announcing the Group's contribution of UGX 50 million towards the remodelling and expanding Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Nyamitanga Cathedral. This contribution is a gesture of goodwill from staff at all levels, symbolising the Bank's core values of faith, unity, and service.
